Due to increased demand, we have managed to secure the services of our Welfare Rights Officer from Money Matters, for an extra day each week.
Starting from the 18th September, our welfare rights officer will be able to take appointments for a Thursday in addition to her existing Tuesday slots to keep up with the demand over the migration to Universal Credit.
The Welfare Rights service aims to support our tenants through the process of applying for the benefits and welfare payments they are entitled to. So far this year alone we have been able to secure £122,977, which is real money in our tenants' pockets!
If you need help with your benefits and you cannot attend the office for a meeting, our welfare rights officer can come to your home to carry out a review of your benefit entitlement.
The Welfare Rights service can also support those making the transition over to Universal Credit.
The service is free of charge, and if you feel you would benefit from the services offered by the Welfare Rights officer, please get in contact to make an appointment. Appointments can be made via telephone on 0141 564 5256, via e-mail at admin@molendinar.org.uk, or in person at the office.
